Among The Stars

Moonleaf wrestled a tattered dark brown tom, flinging him acorss the clearing. Whipping around, her lips pulled back in a dangerous snarl, she fought her way to the limp tortoiseshell body. It wasn't Wildpaw.
"Thank StarClan," was all Moonleaf had time to breathe before a sharp nip pierced her spine and her legs crumpled, her vision being engulfed in a black thick pelt.

Stargaze and Shinestream trekked through the forest, on their way to the Moonstream and Crystal Pool. Clouds shrouded the moon in a thick gray blanket, but it shined so brightly, it glowed dimly through the thick, dark gray balls of fluff. The steady babble of the Moonstream reached Stargaze's ears as they silently approached the sacred place used for sharing tongues with StarClan.

"Drink from the Crystal Pool," ordered Shinestream, flicking her tail towards the shimmering pool. Stargaze did as she was told and lapped up the water obediantly. It tasted of the sky, frost, and stars. She fell asleep and recieved her nine lives.

Charredfeather had no idea why StarClan would choose her for deputy. She was barely a warrior! She felt she had an important destiny in the future of her Clan.....but she didn't yet understand.

Leopardshadow watched her kits fondly as they tumbled about. Did they really hold the future of their Clan in their tiny, innocent paws? Only StarClan knew.
